Calculate My VA Pay Calculate a Combined Rating
Estimated monthly and annual compensation for a rating and household, from the official VA rate table.
How VA combines multiple ratings under 38 CFR 4.25 — with every step shown, not just the answer.
The 38 CFR 4.26 factor for paired extremities or paired muscles, including the more-favorable exception.
VA does not add disability percentages together. Under 38 CFR 4.25, each rating applies to the efficiency remaining after the more severe ratings. A 50% rating leaves 50% efficiency; a 30% rating then takes 30% of that remaining 50%, for a combined value of 65%, which rounds to a 70% rating. Rounding to the nearest 10% happens once, at the end.
Compensation then depends on that combined rating and on dependents. At 10% and 20%, VA pays no additional amount for a spouse, children, or dependent parents. At 30% and above, dependent amounts apply. The calculators on this site use the exact published dollar amounts — they do not estimate a rate from a COLA percentage.
2027 rates — projection only, not published. As of October 29, 2026, VA.gov still lists the 2026 table as current. The Social Security Administration announced a 3.6% COLA on October 14, 2026, which determines the percentage adjustment, but VA.gov has not published a verified 2027 dollar table. This site therefore shows 2027 only as a clearly labeled projection — the 2026 published amount × 1.036, rounded — and it will replace that projection with the official table the moment VA.gov publishes one. That distinction is deliberate, not an oversight.

No. The Phase 1 calculators run in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to a server by this draft, and no Social Security number, claim number, medical record, or banking detail is ever requested.
No. These tools combine ratings you enter and price a rating you enter. They do not assign a rating to a condition, decide service connection, or predict a VA decision.
Planned only, not built: dependent comparisons, rating scenarios, back-pay estimation, military retirement, CRDP/CRSC, and an integrated dashboard. Phase 1 launches with the three calculators above so they can be indexed and validated first.
